A Place to Grow
Union Congregational Weekday Nursery School was established in 1969. It is a place where children are taught and nurtured. Students and their families are part of a community rich in creativity and beauty. Union Cong touches everyone in this community. And for the children, especially, it is an important early stepping stone along their childhood path.
A Campaign for the Future
Union Congregational Church is undergoing a significant restoration project to the structures of both the church and Vincent Building, home to UCWNS. Phase one of this project is estimated to cost $1.725 million and began in Spring 2011. The church will fund the bulk of the restoration. UCWNS will contribute roughly 48% ($198k) towards the Phase one restoration cost of the Vincent Building (c. 1956). Renovations have addressed the leaking flat roof over half of the building, the crumbling lintels above the windows and problematic drainage systems. UCWNS needs your help in raising funds towards its pledge for these necessary renovations.

Stepping Stones
The playground at UCWNS is a place where all of our children have found joy. The cherry tree to the right of the school’s main entrance, in its beauty and role as impromptu gathering place, has become an informal symbol of the school. With this in mind, the 83-foot path to the playground (west of the school’s iconic cherry tree) will be transformed into a commemorative walkway, featuring personalized 6 x 9" gray pavers. These limited-edition stepping stones can accommodate four lines of text. For a gift of $275, you can leave a message for future generations of children, teachers and families.
